This video features James Hudson, M.S. Director of the University of Kansas Marching and Athletic Bandsformer Director of Bands at Southwest Texas State University and Michael Howard, formerly of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. In this video, Hudson and Howard share the basic playing techniques required to perform as a Rudimental Bass Drummer in today's marching band percussion section. Included in this presentation are the basic concepts in grip, stroke, posture, and equipment.
